Share Turkey Photo, Win Prizes
Alabama Black Belt Adventures Big Gobbler Contest Begins
Facebook ‘Likes’ Will Determine Winner
March 11, 2015, MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Turkey hunting season starts March 14 and with it, the Alabama Black Belt Adventures Association Big Gobbler Photo Contest. Like the extremely popular Big Buck Contest just completed, entrants need only share a photo of a turkey they harvested in one of the 23 Black Belt counties and the gobbler that gets the most “likes” on the ALBBAA Facebook page wins.
The year’s winner will receive a prize package valued at more than $200. It includes a one-of-a-kind turkey call crafted by Willow Sage Woodworks of Uniontown, Ala., plus a Carry-Lite Decoy. While the handmade Willow Sage turkey call is an excellent hunting tool, the winner might more likely keep the call to display as a family heirloom made with care from repurposed or locally grown wood.
Entrants should include their name and the Black Belt county in which the turkey was taken. Entries must be from the 2015 spring turkey season, which runs through April 30. Photos will be posted on the Alabama Black Belt Adventures Facebook page.
Entries will be accepted from these counties only: Barbour, Bullock, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Crenshaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Monroe, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Russell, Sumter, Tuscaloosa and Wilcox.
To enter, email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org or text the photo to 334-300-6616. Deadline for entry is May 4 and the winner will be announced on May 11.
