Big Buck Contest Winners Attract Lots of ‘Likes’

Annual Contest Draws Record Number of Entries

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The annual Alabama Black Belt Adventures Association Big Buck Photo Contest wrapped up with thousands of votes for a record number of entries from the 2014-15 deer season.

ChaseFree 800Chase Free of Luverne, Ala., earned the Grand Prize with the most “likes” on the ALBBAA Facebook page for his 10-point buck harvested in Crenshaw County. Free also took first place in the 18-years-old and older category in the contest. The Grand Prize is a hog hunting trip for two at Great Southern Outdoors Wildlife Plantation in Union Springs, Ala., courtesy of National Land Realty, and a $100 gift card to Bass Pro Shops.

Daniel Bank of Maitland, Fla., won the 14-17-year-old category with an 11-point buck taken in Russell County.

Jackson Conway of Evergreen, Ala., won the 13-and-under category with an 8-point buck from Conecuh County.

Bank and Conway earned $100 Bass Pro Shop gift cards for their efforts.
