Exploring Natural Alabama – Birds of Prey, Masters of the Skies

January 14 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Alabama Wildlife Center, Guest Speaker. Due to popular demand there will be 2 programs, at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm in the AWC auditorium. Both programs will feature live birds on the glove from AWC’s Education Ambassadors Program. Birds of prey are truly masters of the skies. They have keen eyesight, sharp talons and are adept hunters. Fortunately for us, Alabama is home to several species. During this program you will learn their various features, adaptations and field marks to help you identify them in the field. Bring your children & camera to capture the moment!  Free after paid admission to Oak Mountain State Park.

Two programs, due to popular demand, both featuring live birds “on the glove”.  Complimentary refreshments are offered at 12:30 pm in the AWC observation room followed by the programs at 1:00 pm & 3:00 pm.
